Join us for Commodore’s Family STEAM Night at Commodore Stockton Skills School in Stockton! This evening event brings together elementary students and their families for hands-on STEM and STEAM activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and excitement around science and learning.
We’re seeking LLNL volunteers to engage students through interactive STEM activities or demonstrations and to help inspire young learners as they explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. This is a great opportunity to support a school community and partner with a first-year administrator who is eager to create a meaningful and engaging STEAM experience for families.
Volunteers can choose from two options for their booth or activity:
Option 1: The LLNL Science Education Program (SEP) will provide all materials and instructions for a fun STEM slime activity — a simple and engaging way to get students excited about science.
Option 2: Volunteers may bring their own hands-on STEM activity or demonstration. Simply share your idea with us — we’ll review it to ensure it complements the event and offer any support you need.
Your participation helps make this community event memorable and meaningful while supporting STEM engagement in an elementary school setting.

What’s Provided
Tables and chairs will be provided by the school.
SEP will provide all materials for the STEM slime activity, or volunteers may bring their own STEM-themed demonstration
