Join us as a volunteer judge for Science Odyssey, a Science and Engineering Fair hosted at Joe Michell TK–8 School. This event gives middle school and high school students the opportunity to showcase their science and engineering projects and receive feedback from STEM professionals.

We’re seeking LLNL volunteers to serve as guest judges, working in teams of two to evaluate student projects using pre-approved district rubrics. Judges will review trifold project boards and engage students through brief interviews during their assigned time slots.

This is a meaningful opportunity to support student learning, encourage critical thinking, and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Judging Opportunities Available:

  • Middle School Projects: 5:30–7:00 PM

  • High School Projects: 7:00–8:00 PM

What’s Provided
Judges will receive district-approved rubrics and guidance on the evaluation process. No preparation in advance is required.
