Join us for the Alameda County Science & Engineering Fair (ACSEF) 2026!
This annual regional science fair brings together middle and high school students from across Alameda County to showcase their research and engineering projects. LLNL volunteers play a critical role by serving as judges, interviewing students, and helping inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
We’re seeking LLNL volunteers to serve as project judges, providing feedback and encouragement to student presenters. This is a rewarding opportunity to support STEM education, engage with motivated students, and represent LLNL in the community
Volunteer Role
Volunteers will serve as judges, reviewing student science and engineering projects, conducting short interviews with students, and providing constructive feedback using ACSEF judging criteria. No prior judging experience is required.
